WHAT TO USE?

• Cotton swabs (preferably Cleanic with a tapered tip) or microbrushes.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before cleaning your piercing.
• Soak a cotton swab or microbrush in isotonic seawater or saline solution.

• Clean your piercing twice a day (morning and evening) for the entire healing period.
DO’S AND DON’TS TO ENSURE PROPER HEALING
- Do not remove your jewelry! If it falls out, visit your piercer as soon as possible.
• Do not touch or play with your piercing with dirty hands. There is no need to twist or rotate the jewelry.
• Avoid sleeping on the pierced area – it may prolong healing and cause the piercing channel to shift.
• Change your bedding after returning home. During healing, change sheets weekly and your pillowcase daily.
• If you have pets, keep them out of your bed and wash your hands after touching them.
• Avoid swimming in natural bodies of water (sea, lakes), pools, thermal baths, jacuzzis, and saunas. Also, avoid long baths – showers are best.
• After showering, dry the piercing with a clean cotton swab. For ear piercings, do not leave wet hair touching the piercing – dry your hair with a blow dryer while shielding the piercing.
• Avoid alcohol – completely for the first week and in moderation throughout the healing process.
• On the day of your appointment, avoid coffee and energy drinks.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes, e.g., do not go from cold air directly into a hot shower.
• Refrain from any exercise for one week and avoid intense physical activity for two weeks.
• At the gym, ensure the pierced area does not come into contact with floors, mats, or equipment.
• Return for a jewelry downsizing at the recommended time. Most piercings require a shorter bar after one month, but your piercer will give you a precise date during your appointment.
